Day 6 :: Taco Night!!!

Last night I was up all night playing Papa's Taco Mia (Click Here to get Addicted!) and it inspired me to make tacos for dinner. We were also very resourceful in our grocery shopping because we were able to use the ground beef, sour cream, onions, jalapenos, hot sauce, and cheese from our chili dinner.

Here are the pictures from our yummy taco dinner!
I love how our plates make everything look even better!

Cody said they were like the best tacos he's ever eaten!

Freakin' Awesome Tacos and Pico de Gallo
by Jana and Cody

1/2 pound ground beef
2 medium sized tomatoes
3/4 yellow onion
lots of cilantro
1 lime
flour (or corn) tortillas

1) Brown the beef adding 1 tbl. chili powder,  1 tbl. crushed red pepper, 1 t. salt, juice of 1/2 lime, pinch of cilantro. (We also had to add some butter to it because it was too lean and dry)

2) Dice tomatoes and onions (it turned out very chunky because yours truly was the dicer!)

3) In a separate mixing bowl add tomatoes, onions, juice of 1/2 lime, big pinch of chopped cilantro, salt and olive oil.

4) Warm the tortillas in a small frying pan with olive oil.

5) Add your toppings and devour! (Cody ate 4 and 1/2, and plans to finish them off for a midnight snack!)
